Sam and me

This picture of Sam and me was taken at Jerry Lee's 65th birthday party in Memphis, Tennessee.

Sam may be 79 these days (we both share the same birthday on January 5th) but he is still as rockin' as ever. He spoke to the fans at Jerry's party about the old days at Sun when he recorded everyone from Ike Turner to Elvis.

In '51 Sam recorded the very first rock n'roll record "Rocket 88". Sam went on to produce and engineer the greatest records ever made. It was a great privilege to meet the man who started it all.
