JERRY LEE LEWIS CAUGHT IN REAL LIFE "FATAL
ATTRACTION" - TWO WOMEN ARE SCHEMING TO WRECK HIS MARRIAGE
SO THEY CAN HAVE HIM
Rock singer Jerry Lee Lewis and his wife Kerrie are being hounded relentlessly by two women out of his wild past who are trying to wreck his marriage so they can have him to themselves. In a real-life "Fatal Attraction," the women show up at Lewis' performances all around the country, phone his home night and day, send telegrams, and even plaster his car with posters and messages - urging him to get rid of his wife and get back to partying with them. "These women just won't take no for an answer. They're obsessed" Lewis told The Enquirer "Who knows what might come into their minds next?" His furious wife Kerrie said: "It's like someone stalking you - staying close to you and waiting for the right moment to hatch some diabolical scheme. These two bizarre women won't accept the fact that Jerry's now a family man and they're wrecking our lives. Over the past 6 months, they've tried to contact Jerry every single week. In their phone calls, telegrams and messages they tell Jerry they're nearby and available - or else they accuse me of fooling around with some other guy. One time they left a poster on our limo telling Jerry I was having an affair with my ex-husband!" Kerrie says the women, both blondes in their 30s, have been causing her tremendous mental anguish. On March 31 she filed a complaint against them with a branch of the district attorney's office in Memphis, where the women live. The office appointed a mediator in the case, and the two women signed an agreement to "cease all communications" with Kerrie and keep their distance from her. But it is not a legal binding document and the women have ignored it according to an irate Kerrie. "These crazed over the hill groupies can't stand the idea that Jerry lee has chosen me and our 17 month old son, Jerry Lee 3rd, over them" she said "I'm afraid of what they might do to me or my baby". Lewis, 52, admitted to the Enquirer that he is also concerned. "I'm not worried about their doing anything to me but I am worried a that something might happen to Kerrie and my son, little Lee. I'm not denying I've done some partying with these women in the past. But my wild days are over. I'm drug-free and doing great. I feel healthier than I have done for years. As I told Enquirer readers once before, my life changed the day little Lee was born in January of last year. I'd had two sons before, Jerry lee Jnr and Stevie. Both were killed in accidents. When Kerrie gave birth to Lee, I knew the Good Lord had given me another chance to see a son grow to manhood. So I changed my ways. Lee has changed my head from honky-tonks, drugs and groupies to puppies, diapers and Mother Goose. My career is back on track and I have a big new recording contract with CBS Records. We are also making a film about my life with Dennis Quaid playing me". |
