Jerry Lee Lewis at the London Rock Show that was held at Wembley stadium in 1972

The show included Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley and Bill Haley

Little Richard was booed that night!

Return to Jerry in the 70's index

The show organisation was awful. The Memphis Beats went on and after Bill Strom sang "Hey Jude" Jerry was announced but did not appear.

Jerry was still back in the Cumberland Hotel with a young lady named Charlotte. Charlotte had previously been in the UK with Jerry on the '71 tour.

Jerry's pet name for Charlotte was "Bumpus" and she gets a mention on the "Rocking My Life Away" LP, is seen getting out of a Ferriday-registered Cadillac in the movie "American Hot Wax" and is now Kenneth Lovelace's daughter-in-law.
