Note Kyle's "Piano Ring" and "Piano Watch."

I saw Kyle when he appeared with Des O'Connor on the QM2. He has a great voice and plays marvellously. He had the whole ship clapping when he sang "When the Saints go Marching In" - Debbie Linley : Passenger on the QM2 maiden voyage to New York.

Kyle really plays the piano like no other. Everyone stood up to applaud him when he did an amazing version of Mozart's Turkish March - C. King : passenger on Queen Victoria

Kyle has played at two of Jerry Lee Lewis's bithday parties in Memphis

Kyle's flying fingers in action at Blackpool

KYLE HAS THE STYLE
from the BLACKPOOL GAZETTE

Even before he takes to his piano stool, there is the look of a young Jerry Lee Lewis about this young Scottish musician - so it is hardly surprising when he launches into a set of rock and roll and boogie woogie largely in the style of the legendary rocker.

The son of well known Scottish entertainers, Joss Esplin and Sandra Wright, he has already performed at Lewis’s last two birthday parties and is just back from appearances in Los Angeles.

He tops the bill at Blackpool's Pavilion for the next four weeks. His new CD was recorded with members of the Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On chart topper’s band. He is supremely confident and competent on keyboards.

.`Hi Jerry Lee fans,

I am delighted to confirm that I will headline the Jerry Lee Lewis Convention in 2009.

I will never forget the kindness that everyone showed me when I was still a schoolboy and attended the '97 Convention. Since then Jerry's influence has helped me carve out a musical career that has taken me all over the world.

At that first Convention I met Frankie Jean and later on met Jerry himself, Linda and Phoebe. I've also been fortunate to record in Memphis with BB Cunningham & the late Joel Shumaker.

Appearing at the 2009 convention is my way of "paying my dues" to everyone who has helped me. I am going to video the show so bring your brightest clothes and we will make you a star. You can make your own video recordings at the show too, I don't mind - just send me a copy!

I look forward to a great rockin' Convention and as Jerry himself says, "I Guarantee we will have a Whole Lotta Shakin' Going On"

keep rockin' Kyle

MEMPHIS COMMERCIAL APPEAL NEWPAPER

"Piano-pounding Scot shows he's quite the Killer"

By Bill Ellis

Memphis Music Editor

Coming across like a grandson to Jerry Lee Lewis is new keyboard cat Kyle Esplin. For his new CD, this young piano prodigy holed up in Memphis with Lewis sidemen for a rollicking ride down Sun lane. Esplin himself produced the disk.

It is a showcase of propulsive rhythms and ego-flexed swagger that has made him a draw on the international entertainment circuit.

The way he sends Folsom Prison Blues jumping over the train tracks says he's no mere revivalist. This timeless music is vibrantly alive for the young artist.
