Hi Jerry Lee Fans,
I am delighted to confirm that I will headline the Jerry Lee
Lewis Convention in 2009.
I will never forget the kindness that everyone showed me when
I was still a schoolboy and attended the '97 Convention. Since
then Jerry's influence has helped me carve out a musical career
that has taken me all over the world often for a single appearance.
At that first Convention I met Frankie Jean and later on met
Jerry himself, Linda and Phoebe. I've also been fortunate to
record in Memphis with BB Cunningham & the late Joel Shumaker.
Appearing at the 2009 convention is my way of "paying my
dues" to everyone who has helped me. I am going to video
the show so bring your brightest clothes and we will make you
a star. You can make your own video recordings at the show too,
I don't mind - just send me a copy!
I look forward to a great rockin' Convention and as Jerry himself
says, "I Guarantee we will have a Whole Lotta Shakin' Going
On"
E-mail me with your requests for the show kyle@kyleesplin.com
keep on rockin'

Here are some pictures of me through the years
That's me and Jerry in 2001
I share same January 5th birthday with the late great Sam
Phillips
|
|

I recorded my first CD on my 16th birthday
|

with James Burton
|

with James & Stephen Ackles
|

with Mickey Gilley in Branson
|

At the Sun Studio at 706 Union Avenue Memphis
|
|

This was a great write-up I got in Keyboard Player.
The picture on the left has me playing
with James Burton in his Club in Shreveport.
I was 16 then and
shouldn't even have been in James' Club. |

Playing at a festival in Norway |

Playing with the Jerry Lee Lewis band at
Jerry's birthday party in Memphis.
The picture on the left is me with the
late Joel Shumaker. He played with Jerry for years and despite
ill health recorded with me in Memphis. He was a great friend. |

Outside the Liberace Museum
|
|
It was a great privilege to play Liberace's beautiful "Mirror
and Diamond" Baldwin piano. |
|
My "piano
ring" and "piano watch" really look like something else when
they are beside this piano. |
|
The Liberace Museum is a great place to visit when
you are in Las Vegas. |
|
This me me playing
at "Bootleggers" a famous place where all the stars from
the shows go after they have finished
work.
Their "jam" sessions can last through the night.
Great food too!

A few weeks ago I flew to California for a single show - dig
my car!
|

Latest News: I saw Jerry Lee's show
at the 100 Club in London, spent some time with the Jerry's
band and then flew through the day to Barbados and did a
show. Then I caught an overnight flight to Greece and did
another show the next night.
Usually I just do two
shows a week and as you can see sometimes get time to relax.
CU all in Brighton on
February 21st - we'll have a great time. I'm really looking
forward to it.
