30,000 DOLLARS FOR ONE SONG On the 29th February, 2000 Jerry Lee Lewis attended the opening of animator Stan Lee's latest movie creation "7th Portal". The event was hosted by Dick Clark. Jerry Lee was paid 30,000 dollars to sing "Whole Lotta Shakin'". Jerry signed his receipt for the cash to Stan Lee and added the words "The only one I want 2 sign". Not a bad pay day for one song - but he is the greatest entertainer in the world. |
